Tech Travels to Clemson for Swimming and Diving

ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams return to Atlantic Coast Conference action this Saturday, Jan. 21, for a combined dual meet with Clemson University. The dual meet is slated for 1 p.m.

Senior All-American Sam Morgan and sophomore Elizabeth Stowe both have NCAA `B’ qualifying standards so far this season to lead the Yellow Jackets.

Morgan clocked a NCAA mark of 15:28.09 in the 1650-yard freestyle at the Georgia Tech Invitational on Nov. 20th. Stowe posted a NCAA `B’ standard of 16:51.48 in the 1650 free at the GT Invite on Nov. 20th as well.

Senior Laurissa Prystaj and junior Tony Burkhardt lead the Jackets on the springboards.

Prystaj broke her own school records on both the one- and three-meter boards with NCAA Zone qualifying scores of 305.95 and 351.60, respectively.

Burkhardt leads the ACC with a school record score of 374.50 on the one-meter board and set a new school mark on the three-meter board with a NCAA Zone mark of 387.95.
