Tech Tennis To Participate In Friends Of Jaclyn Foundation Week

March 9, 2011

ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech Men’s Tennis team will once again participate in the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Week by taking donations and raising awareness for the organization at its March 27 match against Wake Forest (1 p.m., Bill Moore Tennis Center).

Blake’s Point – Sting Daily Story – 5/11/10

The Yellow Jackets, who joined forces with the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation last year, “adopted” Nolan Blake, who was diagnosed with Anaplastic Medulloblastoma in October, 2009. The team raised money for Blake and made him an official member of the team.

The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation was initiated in 2005 by then-nine-year-old Jaclyn Murphy, who was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumor in March 2004 and reached out and struck a friendship with the Northwestern University women’s lacrosse team. FOJ has completed over 230 adoptions in over 20 different sports.

Fans can either donate to the cause at the Wake Forest match or visit Nolan Blake’s website here and the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation website here.
