Tech Swimming Heads Out On Final Road Trip Of Season

ATLANTA – In their final road meets of the 2010-11 season, the Georgia Tech men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will head to North Carolina where they will take on Davidson in a Friday night dual beginning at 6 p.m. followed by an afternoon meeting with ACC foe NC State on 1 p.m. Saturday.

The men’s team has met with Davidson 22 times in the past coming away with a 14-8 overall record while the women have yet to face the Wildcats head-to-head. The men’s have also earned eight victories against NC State in 20 face-offs while the women are 2-5 in dual meet action against the Wolfpack.

Georgia Tech already saw NC State once this season when the Wolfpack came to Atlanta for the Georgia Tech Invitational in November. The women finished fifth while the men took fourth in the 13 team meet.

Tech is coming off of some big performances in a dual meet with Florida and a tri meet against FSU and UNC-Wilmington last weekend as many swimmers earned personal bests against some of the nation’s toughest competition.
