Tech Softball Trip to Gardner-Webb Postponed

April 19, 2003

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech’s softball doubleheader at Gardner-Webb Saturday has been postponed due to poor playing conditions following a large amount of rain Friday in the Boiling Springs, N.C., area. It is uncertain at this time whether the games will be made up.

The Jackets (31-17, 3-2 ACC) also had the second game of Thursday’s Atlantic Coast Conference doubleheader with North Carolina halted in the second inning due to rain. The score is tied, 1-1, and the two teams hope to conclude the game at some point if scheduling allows. The Tar Heels took game one, 3-1.

Next up for the Jackets is a trip to Georgia Southern for a 3 p.m. doubleheader Monday. This twinbill is a make-up date for games rained out April 9.
