THE FLATS – The Georgia Tech cross country team will split its team this weekend with competition scheduled at the Lehigh Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa. and the Alexander/Asics Invite in Fairburn, Ga. Both meets will be on Saturday, Sep. 30.
At the Alexander/Asics Invite, the men will compete in the 8K race which is set to begin at 7:50 a.m. and the women will compete in the 5K race which will begin at 8:50 a.m. Tech will have sophomore Katie Hamfeldt (Kennesaw, GA), senior Ashley Sechrest (Milton, GA) , and senior Isabella Turner (Medford, NJ) running for the women, and sophomore Ethan Kurilko (Grovetown, GA) and junior Jean-Lou Pare (Greensboro, NC) running for the men. At the Lehigh Paul Short run, the men and women will both compete in two events. The men will compete in the 8000M Open race, which begins at 9:30 a.m., and the 8000M Gold race, which starts at 9 a.m. The women will compete in the 6000M Open race (10:15 a.m. start) and the 6000M Gold race (11:45 a.m.). At 12:45 p.m. there will be an award ceremony held for the Top 3 teams and Top 25 Gold Race finishers. For live results click here.
