Tech Set to Compete at Florida State Classic

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech swimming and diving is on the road this weekend headed to Tallahassee for the Florida State Fall Classic. The tournament will begin Friday, Sept. 29, and will conclude on Saturday, Sept. 30. Over those two days, the teams will compete in 18 events, starting with the 200 medley relay at 5 p.m. on Friday.  

The Jackets are coming off a two-event weekend with their White vs Gold Intrasquad Scrimmage and the Swim Across America meet for charity. Several freshmen are making their collegiate debut; Ricky Baluccini , Max Fowler, Henry Gibbs, and Robin Yeboah for the men’s team. Saybne Brisson, Jillian Ferrari, Lizzie Powley, and Vivien Rothwell will also make their collegiate debut for Tech’s women’s team.  

In addition to the host of freshmen, several seasoned veterans will travel to Florida State and compete, including Anna Bradescu, McKenzie Campbell and Clarissa Sabin for the women’s team, and Berke Saka, Batur UNLU and Nils Bognar for the men’s team.  

For this weekend’s events there will not be a live stream. However, there will be live timing available on the meet mobile app.

Friday: Starting at 5 p.m 

  1. 200 Medley Relay (followed by 10 min. break) 
  1. 200 Freestyle 
  1. 400 IM 
  1. 100 Fly 
  1. 50 Free 
  1. 100 Breast 
  1. 100 Back (followed by 10 min. Break) 
  1. 400 Free Relay 
  1. Women – 1-Meter/ Men 3-Meter Diving  

Saturday: Starting at 10 a.m. 

  1. 400 Medley Relay (followed by 10 min. break) 
  1. 500 Free 
  1. 200 Breast 
  1. 200 Back 
  1. 100 Free 
  1. 200 Fly 
  1. 200 IM (followed by 10 min. break) 
  1. 200 Free Relay 
  1. Women – 3-Meter / Men 1-Meter Diving
