THE FLATS – Georgia Tech diving will send eight student-athletes to compete in the 2019 Zone B Diving Championships, beginning on Monday, March 11 at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center at Auburn.
The Yellow Jackets will have divers in every event as Tech works to qualify for NCAAs. During the three-day championships, the team will compete against Alabama, Auburn, Duke, FAU, FGCU, Florida State, Florida, UGA, Miami, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Divers who finish in the top nine advance to Nationals in the women’s 1-meter and men’s platform, while the top eight qualify out of the women’s 3-meter and top seven from the men’s 3-meter. Finally, the top six will advance from the women’s platform and men’s 1-meter.
Additionally, if divers qualify in one event, they can compete in other events in which they finish in the top 12.
