Tech Parking Announces New Restrictions for Baseball Games

Feb. 9, 2007

ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech Parking Office has announced new restrictions to parking on Georgia Tech’s campus during the Yellow Jacket baseball home games in 2007. These include new season-long and conference weekend passes as well as single-game prices that are as follows:

With the construction of the new Klaus Parking Deck, which is situated directly behind home plate on Ferst Drive, the Georgia Tech Parking Office has chosen to give season ticket holders the following options:

1. A Season Parking Pass for the Klaus Deck at the cost of $75. This pass will be valid for all weekday Georgia Tech baseball games, as well as all weekend series games. Access will begin two hours prior to the start of the game, and only 100 of these passes will be available. They will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

2. An ACC Baseball Weekend Series Parking Pass for the Klaus Deck at the cost of $50. This pass will allow the holder to enter the parking deck two hours prior to game time for all home baseball games being played against an Atlantic Coast Conference opponent.

These passes are available through the Georgia Tech Parking and Transportation Services, and can be purchased by going to season parking passes and clicking on the “Parking and Transportation” tab located on the left side of the page. Fans that purchase one of these passes will receive their pass at the Klaus Parking Deck on the day of the game, with members of Georgia Tech Parking and Transportation Services staffing the first few regular-season and ACC games to facilitate distribution. Please note that there will be NO single-game parking available in the Klaus Parking Deck.

General game day parking for the public will be available in the O’Keefe Parking Lot, Peters Parking Deck (lower level only) and the Tech Square Visitor’s Lot. All three locations will have a $3 per game charge for parking. The Tech Square Parking Deck will also be available at the regular parking rates ($1/hour for the first two hours, $2/hour after that). The O’Keefe Lot and Peters Parking Deck will be attended lots, while the Tech Square Parking Deck will utilize pay stations at the exits. All of these locations will be open and available to fans two hours prior to game time.

Handicapped parking will continue to be available along Ferst Drive, directly behind home plate, with valid state handicap identification required.

Information regarding season tickets can be directed to the Georgia Tech Ticket Office at 1.888.TECH.TIX. For questions regarding the new parking procedures, please contact Georgia Tech Parking and Transportation Services at 404.894.9645.
