Tech Concludes Day One of Meyo Invitational

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Senior Eric Massey posted a mark of 60 feet, 1 ¼ inches, in the men’s weight throw to lead the Georgia Tech men’s and women’s track and field teams at the Meyo Invitational on Friday night.

Massey, a native of Gainesville, Fla., finished eighth in the weight throw.

Sophomore Antoinetta McKay tallied a 10th-place finish for the Yellow Jackets in the women’s long jump with a mark of 18 feet, 9 inches.

Freshman Alana Clooten posted a season-best mark of 49 feet, 10 ½ inches, in the women’s weight throw to finish in 16th place for the Jackets.

The final day of competition will take place on Saturday on the campus of Notre Dame. The day will begin at 9:30 a.m.
