Tech’s 9-game ACC home schedule, which may be the strongest in program history, comes on the heels of McCamish Pavilion’s inaugural season, which saw a 50 percent increase in attendance versus the prior season.
In their second season under head coach Brian Gregory, the Yellow Jackets made a five-game improvement in overall record, improved their ACC record and conference finish, defeated eventual ACC champion Miami on the road, and sold out three games at McCamish Pavilion. Tech was one of the ACC leaders in attendance increase over the 2011-12 season.
“Georgia Tech is proud to be a long-standing member of the nation’s preeminent college basketball conference, bar none,” said Tech director of athletics Mike Bobinski. “With the addition of new ACC members Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and National Champion Louisville a year from now, Yellow Jacket fans and indeed, all of Atlanta will have the opportunity to see the best college basketball in the country on our campus night-in, night-out.”
Men’s basketball season ticket holders from 2012-13 will have the opportunity to renew or upgrade their seats later in the spring when renewal information is sent out. For all others wishing to purchase season tickets, they may do so by submitting a deposit, which places them on a prioritized wait list.
The Georgia Tech Athletic Association is accepting non-refundable $100 deposits from the general public. The deposits will be applied to the purchase of season tickets at the time of processing. Priority will be given first, based upon the Alexander-Tharpe Fund point system, and second based upon date/time of deposit submission. If demand is greater than supply, all deposits submitted that are unable to be accommodated will be fully refunded.
