Tarver's Eligibility Restored

Jan. 13, 2006

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech center Theodis Tarver, who had been ruled academically ineligible on Monday, had his eligibility restored on Friday and will rejoin the team for its game Saturday at NC State.

The 6-9 center from Monroe, La., missed one game, a Tuesday night tilt at Centenary in his home state. Tarver had started the Yellow Jackets’ six games prior to that, and was averaging 4.1 points and 3.2 rebounds this season. His best performance of the season occurred last Sunday with eight points and six rebounds in Tech’s 60-58 win over No. 11 Boston College.
