Tarver Out Indefinitely with Knee Injury

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech forward Theodis Tarver will be sidelined indefinitely after suffering a dislocated kneecap in practice last week.

The 6-9 sophomore from Monroe, La., suffered the injury to his left knee late in Thursday’s practice. A magnetic resonance imaging test conducted Friday showed no other significant damage, and Tarver’s knee will remain in a hard cast for two weeks.

Tarver played in 18 games last season as a freshman, averaging 2.8 points and 1.9 rebounds. But he started all three of the Yellow Jackets’ games in the National Invitation Tournament, averaging 6.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.7 blocked shots per game while going 8-for-8 from the floor.
