THE FLATS – In addition to their hard work competing at the ACC-Big Ten Challenge, Georgia Tech swimming and diving also took the weekend to volunteer, helping out the Kyle Pease Foundation on Sunday morning.
The Yellow Jackets swarmed the foundation and spent the morning cleaning equipment and organizing the foundation’s warehouse.
The Kyle Pease Foundation works to create awareness and raise funds to promote success for persons with disabilities by providing assistance to meet their individual needs through sports, most commonly in races held across the country, including half marathons and ironman competitions.
“I’m extremely proud of the team’s willingness to take time from their schedules to give back to the community,” head coach Courtney Shealy Hart said. “Volunteering is always a part of what we do at Georgia Tech and it’s a testament to our student-athletes that they are always eager to help wherever they can.”
All of the team’s work helped in preparation for the end of the year and the last few races that the Kyle Pease Foundations has coming up to conclude the season.
