ATLANTA – After nearly a month since its last competition, the Georgia Tech swimming and diving teams will host four schools at the Aquatic Center for the Parent’s Weekend Meet on Saturday at Noon.
New Orleans, Western Kentucky and Georgia Southern as well as the Miami women’s team will all compete in the 16-event meet Saturday afternoon. Live stats will be available at www.ramblinwreck.com as well as a complete recap and results following the meet.
“It is going to be our last meet for the fall and I’m glad it’s going to take place in our home pool,” head coach Stu Wilson said. “This is going to be a great meet as we hope all of the fans will come out to support Georgia Tech. The team has been looking forward to this meet and we are anxious to see some fast swimming.”
There will be a lot of stuff going on at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center prior to the meet. The first 75 fans will receive a free t-shirt, while the Swarm will be treated to pizza. The Georgia Tech pep band will be performing and Buzz will be in attendance as well.
The meet will feature 16 events (200 medley relay, 1000-free, 200-Free, 100-back, 100-breast, 200-fly, 50-free, one meter diving, 100-free, 200-back, 200-breast, 500- free, 100-fly, three meter diving, 200-IM and 200-free relay).
