THE FLATS – Georgia Tech swimming and diving returns to McAuley Aquatic Center for the GT Invite Nov. 18-20. Prelims will be at 10 a.m. and finals will be at 5 p.m. each day.
There will be six universities represented at the meet. Georgia Tech, Auburn, FSU, Florida, UGA and Iowa (Diving only, women) will all be at the pool this weekend.
The meet will hold five swimming events and four diving events on Friday, seven swimming events and four diving events on Saturday and six swimming events and three diving events on Sunday.

Fans wishing to attend can park in the Student Center parking lot. Admission to the McAuley Aquatic Center is free but parking in the lot costs two dollars an hour.
Tech swimming and diving is coming off a record setting weekend in North Carolina. Mert Kilavuz set the program record in the 1000 free (9:01.21) at UNC on Nov. 5 with a time of 9:01.21. Kilavuz also earned ACC Men’s Swimmer of the Week for his efforts.
Ruben Lechuga joined Kilavuz in earning weekly conference honors following his career-best score on the 3-meter board (391.13) at Duke.
The Yellow Jackets have seen success so far in the pool. Two freshman have already entered the record books. Kilavuz tops the record book in the 1000 free (9:01.21) and Defne Taçyildiz has the third fastest 200 fly time (1:59.14) in program history.
On the boards, diving has had five divers post zone qualifying scores. Anna Bradescu (3-meter), Camryn Hidalgo (1-meter, 3-meter), Ruben Lechuga (1-meter, 3-meter), Allen Mann (3-meter), and Carmen Woodruff (1-meter, 3-meter).
