Stojanovska Finishes 19th in 400 Freestyle in Athens

ATHENS, Greece – All-American women’s swimmer Vesna Stojanovska (Macedonia) finished 27th in the 400-meter freestyle with a time of 4:19.39 in the preliminaries on Sunday morning at the Athens Olympics.

The top eight times from the four heats advanced to the finals. The qualifying time to make the finals was 4:09.10.

Stojanovska will swim in the prelims of the 200m free on Monday morning from 3-3:34 a.m. ET. The finals of the event will be on Tuesday afternoon at 12:41 p.m. ET.

Former Georgia Tech men’s basketball standout Stephon Marbury will compete for Team USA this afternoon as the U.S. takes on Puerto Rico in pool play at 1 p.m. ET.
