William Crowder arrived on The Flats in 2026 as a graphic designer for the Georgia Tech men’s basketball program. A graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in sport management, Crowder joins the staff with experience generating digital engagement and visual content within the landscape of collegiate athletics.

Crowder comes to Georgia Tech following a four-year tenure on the creative media staff for the University of Tennessee football program. During this period, the program achieved a 2022 Orange Bowl victory and a 2024 College Football Playoff appearance. These efforts supported a digital strategy that produced 89 million yearly engagements across social media platforms, placing the program among the national leaders in digital reach.

His creative output during his time in Knoxville earned a 2025 Mid-South Emmy Award for the Dark Mode Reveal. Beyond the collegiate football environment, he spent three years as the digital content lead for the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, where the focus was directing visual storytelling and coordinating content distribution for the organization during its national competitive tours. Crowder’s additional work in the field includes freelance design and content initiatives for Chattanooga FC and the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, adapting visual styles to meet the branding needs of diverse athletic organizations and contributing to their digital growth.

A native of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, Crowder spends his time volunteering for civic engagement events, playing the drums, and attending various sporting events outside of his role on The Flats.
