Awards and Honors
As a Sophomore (2023): Appeared in 45 games, making 36 starts in the outfield, primarily in center field … Led the Jackets in stolen bases with 18 through the season, ranking seventh in the ACC in stolen bases per game … Improved to a .306 average at the plate and a .394 on-base percentage for her sophomore campaign, both marks that ranked top five on the squad … Came away with 26 hits, five doubles and her second career home run for 12 RBI and a .400 slugging percentage … Landed ninth on the SportsCenter Top 10 for a diving catch in center field in a 13-11 (10), extra-inning victory over Pitt (April 15) … Was the most efficient Yellow Jacket of the Pitt series, batting .556 as she went 5-for-9 … In game two against the Panthers, swatted a crucial two-RBI double to spark a seven-run rally before belting what proved to be the game-winning solo shot in the top of the 10th … Finished the season on a three-game hitting streak … Totaled seven multi-hit games … Went a perfect 3-for-3 with a double to tie her single-game career high in hits against Virginia Tech (March 18).
As a Freshman (2022): Appeared in all 56 games, starting in 54 in center field … Batted .238 in her first collegiate season, tallying 31 hits for three doubles, one triple, one home run and 27 RBI with 25 runs scored … Second on the squad with 13 stolen bases … Averaged a .251 on-base percentage and .300 slugging percentage, picking up 17 walks and 39 total bases … Defensively, totaled 65 putouts for a .970 fielding percentage … Top five on the team in RBI and total bases … Set career high of three hits twice in a 6-4 win over Penn State (Feb. 25) and a 17-5 win over Louisville (March 19) … In the victory over the Cardinals, also went yard for the first time in her career, scoring three runs for seven total bases and picking up three RBI, all career highs … Later tied her top RBI mark of three in a 14-2 thrashing of Boston College (April 9) … Knocked her first career triple in the season-opening 4-1 win over Saint Joseph’s (Feb. 11) … Six multi-hit games on the season.
High School: Helped Sequatchie County High School to district championships in her freshman and sophomore seasons. A two-time all-district honoree and two-time Best of Preps honoree by Chattanooga Times Free Press, Edgmon was also a three-time national Player of the Week by Extra Inning Softball. She owns the school record for career stolen bases, and tied the school record with four stolen bases in a game in the state tournament in 2019. She intends to major in business at Georgia Tech.
