2021 (Freshman): Appeared in four games … Was a remarkable 3-for-3 on onside-kick attempts … His first successful onside kick of the season gave Georgia Tech an opportunity for a game-tying drive late in fourth quarter of an eventual heartbreaking 14-8 loss at No. 6 Clemson (Sept. 18) … Perfectly executed a pair of onside kicks – one with 1:16 remaining in the game and one with 20 seconds to go – that helped GT nearly erase a 21-point deficit in the final four minutes of a 48-40 defeat at Virginia (Oct. 30) … Also executed a perfectly placed sky kick that pinned UVA at its own 4 yard line in the fourth quarter of the narrow defeat … Upped himself to a perfect 5-for-5 on onside-kick attempts in his career … Was named ACC Specialist of the Week in recognition of his astounding performance at UVA … Attempted one field goal on the season – a 55-yard attempt that was blocked at No. 6 Notre Dame (Nov. 20).
2020 (Freshman – “Covid Year” – year of eligibility retained): Appeared in five games as a true freshman place kicker … Made Georgia Tech’s biggest kick of the season in his first collegiate game, when he split the uprights on a 32-yard field goal with 8:56 remaining in the game that provided the winning points in Tech’s 16-13 triumph at Florida State (Sept. 12) … Bounced back from having a two field goals and an extra point blocked earlier in the game to boot the game-winner at FSU … Went on to make 4-of-5 extra points on the season, but finished 1-of-5 on field goal attempts … Was a perfect 2-for-2 on onside-kick attempts at Boston College (Oct. 24) and vs. No. 5 Notre Dame (Oct. 31).
High School: Had what the Marietta Daily Journal called “arguably the best kicking season in Cobb County history” in 2019, when he made 19-of-25 field goals and all 49 extra-point attempts to help lead nearby Allatoona H.S. to 2019 Georgia 6-A state championship game … Received 2019 Chris Sailer Award, given to the nation’s top high school place kicker … Was high school teammates with Georgia Tech freshman Ty Thompson … Coached by Gary Varner.
