2021 (Redshirt Sophomore): Appeared in five-straight midseason games as a reserve offensive lineman — vs. Pitt (Oct. 2), at Duke (Oct. 9), at Virginia (Oct. 23), vs. Virginia Tech (Oct. 30) and at Miami (Nov. 6).
2020 (Redshirt Sophomore – “Covid Year” – year of eligibility retained): Saw action in first two games of the season — at Florida State (Sept. 12) and vs. UCF (Sept. 19).
2019 (Redshirt Freshman): Appeared in 10 games as a reserve offensive lineman … Helped Georgia Tech run for 207 yards (its second-highest rushing total of the season) against a Miami (Fla.) team that then-ranked No. 7 nationally in rushing defense (77.7 rushing yards per contest) … During a three-game stretch from Oct. 19-Nov. 9, Tech faced the teams that ranked first (Pitt), fourth (Miami) and eighth (Virginia) nationally in sacks and the offensive front allowed just five total sacks in those three games, including none against Virginia … Helped Georgia Tech refuse to surrender a sack in two of the final four games.
2018 (True Freshman): Redshirted.
High School: Rated as a three-star prospect by ESPN, 247Sports/Scout and Rivals … Honorable-mention all-state selection as a senior in 2017 … Also earned all-metro recognition as a senior … Selected to participate in 2017 Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game … Helped lead Hoover to three state championships in four seasons (2014, 2016 and 2017) … Captained Hoover’s state title teams in 2016 and 2017 … Coached by Josh Niblett … Also lettered in basketball … Honor roll student … Member of National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society … Passed four Advanced Placement exams as a junior.
Personal: Has a younger brother … Cousins Kermit Kendrick and Dominic Lee played football at Alabama … Was a fixture in the Birmingham community throughout high school, highlighted by serving as a volunteer for March of Dimes, YMCA toy drive and after-school snack program and the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity’s annual Easter egg hunt … Graduated from Georgia Tech in December 2021 with bachelor’s degree in business administration … Pursuing graduate studies in business administration … Member of ACC academic honor roll … Participated in Georgia Tech athletics’ Jackets Without Borders international service trip to Villa del Rio, Puerto Rico in May 2022 to assist with continued hurricane rehabilitation efforts following the storms that devastated the island in 2017.
