About The Brock Family

Georgia Tech football’s indoor practice facility was built in 2011 thanks to a $3.5 million commitment from Mary R. and John F. Brock III, ChE 70, MS ChE 71.

In addition to his philanthropy to his alma mater, John Brock has previously served as a member of the Georgia Tech Advisory Board, the Georgia Tech Foundation Board and the Alexander-Tharpe Fund Board, as well as his 25th and 40th reunion committees. He was named a College of Engineering Distinguished Alumnus in 1996.

The Brocks have also provided funding for two Georgia Research Alliance chairs and eminent scholars in cancer research at both Georgia Tech and Emory University. Additionally, they have established the Brock Family Fund, which supports the child and adolescent moods disorder program at Emory, and established an undergraduate scholarship for the Georgia Tech school of chemical and biomolecular Engineering.
