Made the ACC Academic Honor Roll … Wing guard who struggled to put the ball in the basket from the outside but found other ways to score … Started Tech’s last six games, replacing Chris Bolden, playing 131 total minutes and averaging 9.8 points, Tech’s second-leading scorer over that stretch … Hit 22-for-69 from the floor (31.9 pct.) with 12 assists and four turnovers … Scored 16 points (6-for-15 FG, two 3s) against Boston College in the ACC Tournament, one point shy of his season high of 17 against Marquette (7-for-15) on Nov. 27 in the Orlando Classic … Played a career-high 34 minutes against North Carolina on March 3, scoring nine points and grabbing a season-best seven rebounds (3 assists, 1 turnover) … Averaged 15 minutes and 5.4 points for the season, mostly off the bench (15.3 mpg, 4.2 ppg in ACC games) … Had three double-digit games against ACC teams, including 12 on Feb. 28 at Clemson … Also scored 10 off the bench at Virginia Tech … Had six double-digit games altogether this season … Scored 12 each vs. Appalachian State and Dayton … Scored 12 points total in Orlando Classic wins against Rider and Rhode Island, going 10-for-11 from the free throw line to help Tech salt away those wins.

Came to Tech on the heels of winning a class 6A state championship with Tift County High School and being named all-class Player of the Year in the state … Under coach Eric Holland, earned all-state honors four straight years, helping Tift County to four regional championships and 101 wins … Also made the MaxPreps 2013-14 All-America team … A 4-star prospect ranked as high as 68th nationally in the class of 2014 (by ESPN.com) and rated the top guard in the state by national recruiting analyst Justin Young on Hoopseen.com … Rated 14th nationally at his position … Led Tift County to the class 6A state championship in 2014 with a 29-3 record and was named all-class Player of the Year in Georgia by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution … Averaged 18.9 points and 4.0 rebounds per game as a senior, but became more of a complete player, averaging five fewer shots per game with big improvements in assists (3.6 per game) and on the defensive end … Scored 15 points with five assists in the championship game in Macon, 35 with three assists the semi-final win, which was played at McCamish Pavilion … Averaged 15.4 points a game as a junior, and helped Tift County to a 26-5 record and a state ranking of No. 3 … Also played for the Georgia Stars AAU team.
Gave up football to concentrate on hoops early in his high school career, but was considered one of Georgia’s top quarterback prospects following promising freshman and sophomore campaigns.
