Career Notes

Rebounded from a torn anterior cruciate ligament four games into his freshman year to enjoy a solid campaign in 2014-15 and be a key reserve in 2015-16 … Played all but nine games and started 28 the last two years … Had two years of eligibility remaining but elected to give up basketball and graduate following the fall semester of 2016 … Two-time all-state guard in Missouri who spent his senior season at New Hampton (N.H.) School.

2015-16 – Game-by-Game Statistics

Averaged 11.8 minutes mostly off the bench (10.3 in ACC games), but saw his court time diminish after Tech put the ball in Marcus Georges-Hunt’s hands at the point … Did not play in four of Tech’s last eight games … Still a key performer in some key situations, including stints against Louisville (21 minutes) and Florida State (11) that enabled the Jackets to withstand withering defensive pressure … Made his first start of the season, 28th of his career, against Louisville (2 points, 1-5 FG, 1 assist, 21 minutes) … Had a career-high six assists and seven points with no turnovers against Colgate … Five assists and two turnovers in 15 minutes at North Carolina … Scored five points with one three, two assists and no turnovers at Tulane, playing the last 7:14 to help Tech expand a five-point lead to eight at the final horn … Had an assist and two steals in that stretch … Missed Tech’s game against VCU with a right ankle injury suffered in practice … Had 58 assists and 18 turnovers for the season (ratio would be second in the ACC but does not have enough assists) … Ration of 24-12 in ACC games … Had 15 zero-turnover games this season … Tech’s No. 5 scorer (9.3 ppg) during the team’s August trip to the Bahamas … Hit 43.5 percent from the floor, 7-of-9 from the line, had 16 assists and just three turnovers in 68 minutes.

Starting point guard for 27 games (17 of 19 ACC games, including the ACC Tournament), averaging 3.7 points, 3.3 assists and a 1.85-to-1 assist/turnover ratio (8th in the ACC) … Played some of his best basketball of the season in Tech’s last 12 games, averaging 4.8 points, 3.8 assists while hitting 37.3 percent from the floor, 31.3 percent on threes and 9-of-12 from the free throw line … Had seven points (3-6 FG), six assists and one turnover in 21 minutes against Wake Forest … Scored career-best 14 points in a career-high 31 minutes against NC State (5-7 FG, 2-2 on 3s, 2-2 FT) with four assists and two turnovers … Had one of his best games at Miami, scoring six points (4-4 FT) with three rebounds, three assists and two steals … Scored six points (2-5 FG, two 3s) with five assists at Pittsburgh in 18 minutes off the bench … Had 62 assists against 38 turnovers in ACC regular-season games … Top non-conference game came Dec. 20 against Vanderbilt with eight points (3-6 FG, 2-4 on 3s), six assists and no turnovers in 24 minutes … Had one steal, in which he finished the possession by feeding Robert Sampson for a slam on the break that gave Tech a 4-point lead with 2:19 left … Three-point rate finished at an even 30 percent, and was 8-for-23 (34.8 pct.) in ACC games … Averaged just 21.7 minutes as coaches regulated his minutes after knee surgery in December of 2013 … Played as many as 30 minutes only twice, Jan. 31 against NC State (an overtime game), and March 3 vs. North Carolina (Heath limited with a virus) … Was held out of the Alabama A&M game (2nd game of the season) with soreness in his surgically repaired right knee.

2013-14 – Game-by-Game Statistics

Promising freshman season came to a halt when he injured his knee in the second half against Dayton, the season’s fourth game … MRI on Nov. 21 revealed a torn ACL in his right knee, missed the remainder of the season … Averaged 4.3 points and 2.5 assists in 19.5 minutes per game.

At New Hampton School

Helped lead the Huskies to a 17-12 record while averaging a team-high 13.2 points and 5.0 assists per game while also averaging 4.1 rebounds and shooting 32 percent on three-point field goals … 3-star prospect by Scout.com, he is ranked No. 138 among all 2013 prep seniors … New Hampton Prep has produced 2013 ACC Rookie of the Year Olivier Hanlan of Boston College and other recent collegiate stars such as Brady Heslip of Baylor, Chris Gaston of Fordham and Brady Morningstar of Kansas … Has also produced NBA talent such as Darius Songaila (Wake Forest), Rashad McCants (North Carolina) and Lawrence Moten (Syracuse).

At Rock Bridge High School

Earned all-state honors from both coaches and media his sophomore and junior seasons. He helped the school to a three-year record of 71-18 and two top-8 state playoff finishes … As a junior in 2011-12, despite missing 11 games after thumb surgery, Jorgenson averaged 16.5 points and 5.8 assists while hitting 44.8 percent of his three-point tries while leading Rock Bridge to a 25-4 record and the quarterfinals of the state Class 5 playoffs … He averaged 11.1 points and 5.8 assists, hitting 45.2 percent of his threes, in leading Rock Bridge to a 26-6 mark and a fourth-place finish in the 2011 Class 5 playoffs. Jorgenson also led the team in assists (3.6) while averaging 7.6 points on a 20-6 Rock Bridge team.
