General

Joined the Tech squad as a walk-on in the fall of 2002, red-shirted in 2002-03, and earned a scholarship for the 2003-04 season … Last active player from Tech[apos]s Final Four team in 2003-04, when he played in 19 games.

Played a lot of minutes as Tech’s point guard during his junior and senior years … Spent many hours away from practice in individual instruction and on his own working on his shooting and offensive skills … Came through for Tech on the offensive end in several games over his last three seasons.

Had 119 steals for his career, tied for 16th on Tech’s all-time list despite averaging only 13.9 minutes in his career … Nearly half of those (58) came in ACC games.

2006-07

> Named team captain before the season began … Tech[apos]s top on-ball defender and backup point guard, was a key figure in some of Tech[apos]s biggest wins … Third on the team in assists and second in steals … Had 21 games with one turnover or less.

> Received the Michael Isenhour Inspirational Award and the team[apos]s Excellence Award for overall achievement on and off the court at the Yellow Jackets[apos] year-end banquet.

> Won the State Farm Slam Dunk Contest that was held at Georgia State during Final Four week, posting a perfect score in the final round to defeat Brent Petway of Michigan.

> Ranked 7th in the ACC in steals despite playing just 18.5 minutes a game … Blocked 12 shots, including three breakaway layups in consecutive games against Duke and Wake Forest in late February.

> Though known for defense, had three double-figure scoring games against Georgia, Florida State and Connecticut, all wins.

> Had the best game of his career, 18 points, five rebounds and three assists (no turnovers) in 26 minutes against FSU … Scored 10 of his points in the final three minutes to help put the game away.

> Scored 12 points against Georgia (4-8 FG) … Led Tech rally from a 16-point halftime deficit to a 92-85 win over No. 11 Memphis in Maui … Scored eight points himself, but directed Tech[apos]s offense inside.

2005-06

> Started Tech[apos]s first nine games of the season before sustaining a sprained left big toe in Tech[apos]s game at Air Force, causing him to miss six games … Returned to the court for six mostly defensive minutes against Clemson (two steals, one rebound), then played 20 minutes or more each against Maryland (8 points, 2 rebounds, 3 steals) and Boston College (2 points, 3 assists, 1 steal).

> Returned to the starting lineup for Tech[apos]s last eight games, providing the Yellow Jackets high energy on the defensive end and stability at the point … Recorded his first double-digit scoring game since Dec. 10 with 11 points, and a team-high six assists and three steals, at Maryland on Feb. 18.

> After getting back into the starting lineup, averaged 4.6 points (16-of-33 FG, 2-of-3 threes), with 25 assists and 19 steals in eight games, playing 23 minutes on average.

> In regular season ACC games, averaged 3.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists, and shot 45.2 percent from the floor.

> Had become a more viable offensive option before his injury, averaging 7.4 points and while shooting 51.1 percent from the floor … Had three double-figure games during that stretch, including a career-high 16 against Tennessee State.

> Finished second on the team in assist average (2.7 per game) with a career-high of seven vs. Jacksonville … Dished six with no turnovers in 26 minutes Feb. 25 vs. Wake Forest … Has had four or more in six games this season … Had 59 assists and just 39 turnovers, the best ratio on the team … Led the team in steals (45) and ranked fourth in the ACC.

2004-05

> Earned more playing time after conference play began and was a force on the defensive end against some of the ACC[apos]s top scorers … Played 15.0 minutes per game in the ACC Tournament, averaging 5.0 rebounds and filling the defensive void left by Muhammad (out with patellar tendonitis) … Snared six rebounds against Virginia Tech, eight against North Carolina (with four points).

> Gave the Yellow Jackets a big lift offensively in a three-game stretch against Maryland, Florida State and Duke, attacking the basket when the opportunity presented itself … Averaged 7.3 points (9-15 FG total) and 4.7 rebounds against them.

> Scored a career-high 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-4 FT) with five rebounds, two assists and two steals off the bench in Tech[apos]s home win over Florida State (2/2) … That came a game after he scored eight points (3-4 FG), then a career-best, with three rebounds at Maryland … Scored four points (2-4 FG) with six rebounds and two steals at Duke … Had two points, three rebounds and three steals at Clemson (2/8).

> Averaged 11.0 minutes, 2.8 points and 2.3 rebounds in regular-season ACC games … Shot 15-for-33 from the floor (45.5 pct.) and 14-for-23 from the line (60.9 pct.) with 11 assists and 10 steals.

> Played 11 minutes against Wake Forest on 1/27, hitting two free throws, taking four rebounds and participating in a collective defensive effort that limited the Deacons[apos] Chris Paul to eight points (0 for the first 30 minutes of the game).

> After Jan. 8 against Virginia, played double-digit minutes in all but five games.

> Missed two games and played just one minute against Air Force in December after suffering a hip pointer, but saw his court time steadily build after that … Played 13 minutes in the season opener against Alabama State, a season high until Jan. 12, grabbing a career-high nine rebounds while scoring four points.

> Averaged 2.6 rebounds a game for the season … Had at least one rebound in 27 games (played only four minutes in the other games combined) … Had just nine turnovers in 294 total minutes.

2003-04

> Played in 19 games off the bench, with a season high of 15 minutes against Tennessee State … Saw action in many games in special situations when an extra defender was required, as he did at the end of the first half against Northern Iowa in the NCAA Tournament.

> Played in seven ACC games, working mostly on the defensive end of the floor … Did not score in a conference game, but picked up two rebounds and two steals in a combined 14 minutes.

> Notched season highs of three points and five rebounds against Marist, and has scored in three games … Played excellent defense off the bench for short stretches early in the season … Got two steals and two rebounds against No. 25 Texas Tech … Grabbed three boards in Tech[apos]s NIT opener against Louisiana-Lafayette.
