2006-07

> Tech’s hottest player over the last month of the season, averaging 16.9 points and 6.2 assists over the Yellow Jackets’ last 11 games (10 in double figures) … Four of his seven 20-point games came in that stretch, including a career-high 29 (10-of-17 FG, 6-of-7 FT) in Tech[apos]s only ACC road win at FSU.

> No. 2 freshman scorer in the ACC in conference games (16.0 ppg, 8th among all players) … Led all players in assists (5.38 per game) against the ACC, was first among frosh in steals (2.07 per game) and second in free throw percentage (84.3 pct.) … Ranked 16th in the ACC in scoring average (14.6 ppg) in all games.

> Tech[apos]s most frequent visitor to the foul line overall (78.3 percent on 138 attempts, 7th in the ACC) … Shot 81.1 percent in the second half of ACC games, 80 percent in the last five minutes.

> Helped start Tech on its February rally with 26 points (9-15 FG) with six assists and seven steals Feb. 3 against Clemson, then 21 points (7-11 FG) with seven assists and three steals against NC State.

> Named ACC Rookie of the Week three times (Feb. 12 after wins vs. NC State and UConn, Jan. 15 after Tech wins over Duke and FSU, Mar. 5 after wins vs. North Carolina and Boston College).

> Scored in double figures in 25 games, including 20 points in Tech[apos]s first-round win over Purdue in Maui … Drove the lane at will in that game and went to the foul line 12 times, making 10, leading the Jackets to a 62-point second half … Averaged 12.7 points and 4.0 assists in the three Maui games, also getting six steals.

High School

> Five-star prospect from Southwest Atlanta Christian School, making the McDonald[apos]s All-America team as well as third-team Parade and EA Sports All-America teams following his senior year … Rated as high as No. 6 nationally (Hoop Scoop) and was the top-rated point guard in the country according to Rivals.

> Lettered and was team captain for four years at Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy, where he helped his school to Class A state championships in 2004 and 2006, and runner-up finishes in 2003 and 2005 … SACA posted a 113-19 record in his four years under head coach Courtney Brooks … Earned all-state honors three times, and was named Mr. Georgia Basketball in 2006 by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution … Set the SACA career scoring record with more than 3,500 points, breaking the mark held by Dwight Howard.

> Averaged 29 points, seven rebounds and nine assists per game as a senior, when SACA went 28-5 and defeated Whitefield Academy for the state title … Played in the McDonald[apos]s All-American game in San Diego, the Derby Festival in Louisville, and the 2006 Nike Junior World Championship in Paris, France.

> As a sophomore, played with current Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard at SACA and together they won the GHSA class A state championship in 2004 … Without Howard in 2005, he carried SACA to the state final, averaging 28.4 points, 7.5 assists and 8.2 rebounds and 3.6 steals per game … Also played in the 2005 USA Youth Developmental Festival, winning a gold medal.
