Missed the first four games of the season to recover from a knee injury, then started the final 10 games of 2009 opposite Demaryius Thomas at wide receiver… caught five passes for 46 yards (9.2 ypa)… had two catches for 16 yards vs. Clemson in the ACC Championship Game (Dec. 5)… recorded a 13-yard reception vs. Wake Forest (Nov. 7)… had his first reception of the season, catching a nine-yard pass on Tech[apos]s first play of the game, at Virginia (Oct. 24)… threw a key block that led to Josh Nesbitt[apos]s go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter against Virginia Tech (Oct. 17).
2008 (Freshman)
The true freshman began the season as a starter at wide receiver and as Tech[apos]s primary punt and kick returner… started the first seven games then was sidelined for three games because of a knee injury suffered in the Oct. 18 Clemson game… returned to action vs. Miami (Nov. 20) and saw limited action against the Hurricanes as well as Georgia (Nov. 29) and LSU (Dec. 31)… had five receptions for 53 yards (10.6 yards per reception)… had 15 punt returns for an average of 5.7 yards… had four kickoff returns… recorded six punt returns for 53 yards including a long of 16 yards and one kickoff return for 18 yards vs. Gardner-Webb (Oct. 11)… had four punt returns and one kickoff return vs. Duke (Oct. 4)… caught two passes for 31 yards, returned two punts for eight yards and had one 19-yard kickoff return at Virginia Tech (Sept. 13)… caught two passes for 17 yards and returned two punts for 23 yards including a long of 15 at Boston College (Sept. 6)… started the season opener vs. Jacksonville State (Aug. 28) and had one catch for five yards… actually part of the 2007 recruiting class and [quote]gray-shirted[quote]… enrolled at Tech in January… participated in a highly-productive spring… has great speed and good hands.

Named to the Area Top 100 by the Houston Chronicle… a two-time all-district selection… named second-team all-state as a junior… had 46 receptions for 518 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior… that followed a junior season in which he caught 70 passes for 976 yards and 15 touchdowns… team MVP for coach Mac Woodfin at Langham Creek High… played four seasons and earned three varsity letters… owns career numbers of 121 receptions, more than 1,750 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns… also played defensive back… owns the school single-game receiving record with 10 receptions for 170 yards and three touchdowns… also played three seasons on the basketball team.
