Served primarily as a pitcher out of the bullpen but played multiple positions in the infield … Played in 23 games on the season, making 14 starts … Made 17 appearances on the mound, 11 of which were scoreless outings … Posted a 3.24 ERA … Struck out 21 batters in 16.2 innings pitched … Didn[apos]t allowed a run in his last three outings of the season (3.1 IP) … Struck out two while holding Maryland (3/8) scoreless through 1.1 innings … Made his second appearance against Virginia Tech (3/22) … Struck out three of the four batters he faced in Tech[apos]s 13-9 series-opening win over No. 2 Miami (3/27) … Fanned four of the six he faced the following day against the Hurricanes (3/28) … Tossed two scoreless innings against Wake Forest (4/18), striking out three of the six he faced … Struck out two of the four batters he faced against Miami in the ACC Championships (5/20) … At the plate, reached base safely in each of his first nine plate appearances on the season, and finished the opening weekend series against Lipscomb (2/20-2/22) with nine walks, one HBP and one hit (reached base safely in 11 of 14 plate appearances) … Had a pinch-hit double against #20 Clemson (4/25).

Started 19 games at third base before concluding the year as Tech[apos]s starting second baseman over the final nine contests … Played in 53 of Tech[apos]s 62 games on the season … Raised his average to .276 by the end of the year by batting .438 over his last 22 games after struggling with his offense early in the year … Hit safely in 20 of his last 22 games … Had three multi-hit games on the season … Went 3-for-4 with an RBI and run scored against Virginia Tech (3/7) … Doubled and scored a run in Tech[apos]s 10-0 win at Kennesaw State (3/18) … Had a pinch-hit, run-scoring double against Georgia State (3/25) … Went 3-for-4 with a double and run scored in the series finale against Coastal Carolina (5/4) … Had a pinch-hit single in the ninth inning against Clemson (5/11) … Scored the winning run in the top of the ninth inning of Tech[apos]s ACC Championship win over NC State (5/21) … Collected two hits in Tech[apos]s ACC Championship loss to Clemson (5/24) … Had an RBI single against Georgia (6/2) in the NCAA Regional Final.
2007
Led all freshmen with 53 starts on the season, 25 of which came at third base with 23 others at second base … Also started five games at shortstop in place of Michael Fisher … Had 16 multi-hit and five multi-RBI games on the season … Hit safely in 40 contests and reached base safely in all but four games … Hit a blistering .636 (7-for-11) with four runs scored at the ACC Tournament (5/23-5/26) … Finished the season on a seven game hitting streak, in which he was hitting .444 … Also hit safely in 16 of his last 18 games … Went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI against Kennesaw State (2/13) … Had two hits, including a double, and scored two runs while driving in another against Duquesne (2/25) … Went 2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored against Western Carolina (2/27) … Hit a grand slam for his first career home run in the series opener against Rutgers (3/2) and hit .417 with a double, home run, five RBI, two walks and two stolen bases in the series against the Scarlet Knights … Went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI vs. Georgia Southern (3/27) … Hit .583 (7-for-12) with a double, triple, home run, four RBI and four runs scored in the series against Maryland (3/30-4/1) … Had two hits, including a home run, two runs and three RBI against Wofford (4/3) … Went 3-for-4 with an RBI and run scored against Georgia (4/18) … Collected five hits, including two home runs, at USF (5/5-5/7) … Hit .636 in the ACC Tournament, with three hits apiece against both North Carolina (5/23) and NC State (5/26) … Also scored three runs against the Wolfpack.

Four year letterwinner for coach Charlie Dragum … Spent his last three years at Hanover High School, where he helped the team to the 2005 Region Championship … Named first team all-district, all-region and all-state as a third baseman in 2006 and 2005 … Also collected first team all-district and second team all-state honors as a pitcher in `06 … Named the Capital District Player of the Year … Hit .567 with six home runs, 41 RBI and 15 stolen bases as a junior … Participated in the East Coast Pro Showcase in 2005 … Played in the VHSCA East-West All-Star Game … Also lettered twice in volleyball for Charlie Dragum … Member of the National Honor Society.
