One of Georgia Tech[apos]s all-time most versatile and productive players… played the A-back position where he was a threat as a rusher and receiver… was also one of Tech[apos]s most prolific kick returners… was one of the ACC[apos]s top big-play threats… made a solid impression while playing in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl… averaged more yards per rushing attempt than any player in ACC history with at least 1,000 career rushing yards… finished ranked among Tech[apos]s all-time leaders in kickoff returns (76), kickoff return yards (1,624) and career all-purpose yards (4,278)… played in 51 career games, which ranks tied for 10th all-time at Tech… averaged 9.3 yards per rushing attempt for his career, which would have broken Tech, ACC and even NCAA records if he had of accumulated more rushing attempts… was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Board.
2012 (senior): Played and started in 12 games… missed two games with an injury… earned honorable mention All-ACC in a conferenced stocked with talented running backs… was on the preseason watch list for the Doak Walker and Paul Hornung Awards… helped Georgia Tech lead the ACC and rank fourth nationally in rushing offense (311.2 ypg)… ranked seventh in the ACC in rushing (56.8)… came within 15 yards of leading the team in rushing despite sitting out two games with an injury… averaged 8.6 yards per carry and rushed for five touchdowns… led the team in receiving with 18 receptions for 288 yards (16.0 yards per reception) and one TD – a key TD reception in the win over USC in the Sun Bowl… led the team in all-purpose yards (1,237)… ranked second on the team in kickoff returns (14) for 267 yards… caught four passes for 52 yards and rushed for 28 yards in the season opener at Virginia Tech (Sept. 3)… erupted for 137 yards rushing on just six carries for one touchdown and had one reception of 10 yards vs. Virginia (Sept. 15)… rushed for 85 yards, had five receptions for 61 yards and a pair of kickoff returns for 77 yards vs. Middle Tennessee State (Sept. 29)… rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown on seven carries and had a 32-yard reception at Clemson (Oct. 6)… rushed for more than 80 yards and one touchdown against both Maryland and North Carolina in back-to-back weeks… sat out the regular season finale against Georgia and the ACC Championship game against Florida State with an injury.
2011 (junior): Played in 12 games and started 11 times… tied for 10th in the ACC in points per game (6.00)… ranked 10th in the ACC in all-purpose yards per game (106.1)… rushed for 615 yards on just 61 carries for an average of 10.1 yards per attempt… rushed for 11 touchdowns and caught one touchdown pass… ranked third on the team in receptions (13) and second in receiving yards (306)… averaged 23.5 yards per reception… led the team in kickoff returns (18) and kick return yards (352) for an average of 19.6 yards per attempt… had 12 offensive plays longer than 20 yards including five rushing attempts and seven receptions…. involved in three plays longer than 60 yards… rushed four times for 84 yards and two touchdowns, caught two passes for 43 yards and had two kickoff returns for 51 yards vs. Western Carolina (Sept. 1)… scored a five-yard TD run on Tech[apos]s first offensive play of the season… had the biggest game of his career Sept. 17 vs. Kansas… rushed five times for 157 yards and a touchdown, caught two passes for 108 yards and a TD, and returned three kicks for 49 yards against the Jayhawks… he became the first player in Tech history to rush and receive for more than 100 yards in a game… his 95-yard TD run on Tech[apos]s first offensive play of the game broke a school record for the longest rushing attempt… rushed for 79 yards, caught one pass for 21 yards and returned four kicks for 83 yards in a win over North Carolina (Sept. 24)… carried nine times for 74 yards and a career-high three touchdowns, and caught a 30-yard pass at NC State (Oct. 1)… rushed for a TD and caught a pair of passes for 37 yards vs. Maryland (Oct. 8)… rushed seven times for 37 yards and two TDs vs. Clemson (Oct. 29).
2010 (sophomore): Played in all 13 games and started six times… rushed 53 times for 516 yards and a whopping 9.7 yards per carry… rushed for four touchdowns… Tech[apos]s second-leading receiver with 12 receptions for 195 yards (16.2 yards per reception)… returned seven kickoffs for 117 yards… rushed five times for 37 yards, had one reception for 19 yards and four kickoff returns for 74 yards at Kansas (Sept. 11)… his only rushing attempt at North Carolina was a 73-yard touchdown scamper at Kenan Stadium (Sept. 18)… his lone carry the next week was a 10-yard touchdown run vs. NC State (Sept. 25)… had two receptions for 23 yards in the win at Wake Forest (Oct. 2)… rushed three times for 24 yards and a touchdown and had a pair of receptions for 51 yards in the victory over Middle Tennessee State (Oct. 23)… carried four times for 54 yards and hauled in two receptions for 37 yards at Clemson… rushed three times for 38 yards and a touchdown at Virginia Tech (Nov. 4)… had career highs for rushing attempts (12) and rushing yards (88) vs. Miami (Nov. 13)… rushed eight times for 39 yards and had two receptions for 16 yards at Georgia (Nov. 27).
2009 (true freshman): Was a key contributor as a true freshman… served as Tech[apos]s primary kick returner and a back-up at A-back… had 37 kickoff returns for 88 yards (24.0 ypa)… ranked seventh in the ACC and 63rd nationally… ranked fourth on the team in all-purpose yardage (67.1 ypg)… rushed five times for 26 yards and had two receptions for 26 yards… had a career-high six kickoff returns for 117 yards vs. Clemson in the ACC Championship Game (Dec. 5)… had an 83-yard kickoff return and 139 all-purpose yards at Duke (Nov. 14)… had three carries for 20 yards and three kickoff returns for 55 yards at Vanderbilt (Oct. 31)… had four kick returns for 111 yards at Miami (Sept. 17). High School: Central HS… rushed for 1,252 yards on 214 carries and scored 18 touchdowns as a senior… his 18 touchdowns in 2008 tied a school record… as a junior, rushed for 1,278 yards and 12 touchdowns… a first team all-state selection, two-time All-Bi-City and two-time team MVP… played in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic… coached by Ron Nelson, earning three varsity letters as a running back… also ran track for four years (sprinter) and played basketball for three seasons.
