ACC Female Cross Country Performer of the Week (Sept. 9)
2015 Track:
Indoor: Finished third in the 5,000 meters with a season-best time of 16:57.30 at the Vanderbilt Indoor Invitational. Outdoor: Placed third in the 10,000m with a career-best time of 34:43.47 at the Penn Relays … Ran a career-best 5,000m at 16:48.90 at the Yellow Jacket Invite … Logged a PR in the 1,500 meters (4:35.77) at the Georgia Spec Towns Invite.
2014 Cross Country:
A consistent top five point scorer for the Yellow Jackets … the top finisher for Georgia Tech in two meets … Had her best performance of the season at the Florida Mountain Dew Invitational with a 5K time of 17:39 … Placed third overall out of 161 runners at the Upstate Invitational, crossing the line with a time of 17:51 … Ran a strong 5K at the Crimson Classic, finishing in 17:49 … Competed at the ACC Championships 6K (21:34) … Recorded a career-best 6K time of 20:58 at the NCAA South Regional.
2014 Track:
Indoor: Set a personal-best time in the mile with a time of 5:03.04 at the Samford Invite … Clocked a personal-best time of 9:52.60 in the 3,000 meters at the ACC Championships. Outdoor: Placed second in the 5,000 meters at the Virginia Challenge in a time of 17:16.43 … Improved that time to 17:09.50 at the Georgia Tech Invite for third place.
2013 Cross Country:
Competed in five races this season, all of which she finished first for Georgia Tech … Finished third overall at the UGA Invitational 5K with a time of 18:48 … Finished sixth overall at the Furman Classic, posting a career-best time of 21:23 in the 6K … Also competed in the NCAA South Regional, in which she finished in 21:36.
2013 Track:
Indoor: Took 16th at the Meyo Invite in the 3,000 meters with a season-best 10:04.78 … Ran the 5K in 17:20.65 at the ACC Championships. Outdoor: Placed third in the 5,000 meters with a time of 17:04.14 at the Alabama Relays … Improved that time to 16:57.89 at the Florida Relays … Qualified for the NCAA East Preliminaries in the 10,000 meters.
2012 Cross Country:
Finished first for Georgia Tech in all six meets … Placed seventh overall with a career-best 5K time of 17:30 at the UGA Invite … Later posted a time of 18:00 at the Louisville CC Classic … Recorded a career-best 6K time of 21:37 at the NCAA South Regional, which topped her time of 21:58 at the ACC Championships.
2012 Track:
Indoor: Competed in the 3,000 meters at the Kentucky, VT Elite and Vulcan Invites … Best time was 10:35.03 at the Vulcan Invite, where she placed sixth … Made the final in the same event at the ACC Championships.Outdoor: Came in second place in the 5,000 meters at the Georgia Intercollegiate Invitational with a time of 17:19 … Improved on that time to finish in 17:18.42 at the Tiger Track Relays.
2011 Cross Country:
Top finisher for Tech at the Crimson Classic with a time of 18:47.16 to place 40th out of 203 runners … Topped that performance with a season-best time of 18:40.35 at the Charlotte Invitational … Finished second among Yellow Jacket runners at the Clemson Invitational with a season-best 6K time of 22:47.38 … Ran a 23:27.90 at the NCAA South Regionals.
High School:
A four-year letterwinner in both track and cross country at Lakeside High School … Earned the honor of team captain on both teams … Was All-Region and won the scholar athlete award … Ranked sixth in her graduating class … The highest honor recipient in the Society of Women Engineers.
