2020 (Redshirt Senior): Became the first Georgia Tech football student-athlete to ever wear the jersey No. 0 … Was awarded a scholarship prior to the season … Was awarded No. 0 by head coach Geoff Collins as a nod to Brooks’ previous walk-on status and the fact that he had “zero stars and zero scholarship offers” coming out of high school … Saw action in all 10 games and made eight starts at defensive tackle … Ranked ninth on the team overall, second among defensive linemen and first among defensive tackles with 30 tackles, including a sack and three tackles for loss … Also added two quarterback hurries, a pass breakup and a fumble recovery … Fumble recovery came with 3:50 remaining of Georgia Tech’s season-opening upset victory at Florida State (Sept. 12) … Only pass breakup of the season also came at FSU … Recorded four tackles and two quarterback hurries at Syracuse (Sept. 26) … Had four tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack against eventual College Football Playoff participant Notre Dame (Oct. 31) … Closed the campaign with a career-high-tying six tackles versus Pitt (Dec. 10).
2019 (Redshirt Junior): Appeared in all 12 games, making four starts, primarily at defensive tackle … Finished 11th on the team and second among defensive lineman with 27 tackles (13 solo) on the season … Began the season with two tackles (one solo) against then-No. 1 Clemson (Aug. 29) … Only failed to make a tackle in one game all season … Recorded 15 tackles over a four-game span – five at Duke (Oct. 12), one at Miami (Fla.) (Oct. 19), three vs. Pitt (Nov. 2) and a career-high six tackles at Virginia (Nov. 9) … capped the season with his first-career two tackles for loss – 1.0 vs. NC State (Nov. 21) and 1.0 vs. then-No. 4 Georgia (Nov. 30).

2017 (Redshirt Freshman): Saw first game action of his collegiate career in Georgia Tech’s 33-7 win over North Carolina (Sept. 30) … Did not record any statistics.

High School: Earned all-region recognition in both seasons as a varsity letterwinner at Washington County H.S. … Helped lead WCHS to second-straight state championship game appearance as a junior in 2014 … Played both offensive and defensive line as a high-schooler … Coached by Joel Ingram … High-school teammate of former Georgia Tech standout A.J. Gray … Graduated No. 2 in his class.
Personal: Born in Albany, Ga. … One of six siblings in his family, all boys … Father, Willie Kelly Brooks, played football at Auburn (1988-92) and was a member of two SEC championship teams (1988, 1989) … Brother, Kelly, was a defensive lineman at Mercer (2012-16) and recorded one tackle against Georgia Tech at Bobby Dodd Stadium on Sept. 10, 2016 … Brother, Karekin, was a running back at Penn (2016-19) … Djimon began playing football at age five … Enjoys hunting and fishing … Graduated from Georgia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in economics in May 2021.
