2011 All-ACC Academic Team
As a Junior (2011): Appeared in 39 games on the year making 18 starts … Went 11-for-52 at the plate scoring six runs and driving in nine … Tallied two doubles and two homeruns on the year for a .365 batting average … Started the year off with a bang going 1-for-2 against UT Chattanooga (Feb. 11) blasting a three-run homer … Notched homers in back-to-back appearances also tallying one against Fordham (Feb. 12) while drawing two walks … Had a season high two hits against Kennesaw State (April 6).
As a Sophomore (2010): Played in 37 games for the Jackets while starting in 30…Had a .264 batting average on the year along with a .586 slugging percentage…Compiled an on-base percentage of .363…Solid play at third base led to a .948 fielding percentage on the season…Had a terrific outing against James Madison (March 6), going 3-for-4 with two home runs and six RBI…Went 2-for-3 against Boston College (April 17) with a home run…Versus Florida State (April 24), went 3-for-3 with three home runs and three RBI and was named ACC Player of the Week…Added a home run and a double to go 2-for-3 against NC State (May 2)…Helped the Jackets advance over Auburn in the NCAA Regional (May 22) with an RBI double in the second inning.
As A Freshman (2009): Appeared in 28 games, making four starts at third base and designated player … Batted .222 with four doubles, a home run and 11 RBI in 27 at bats … Compiled a .481 slugging percentage and a .313 on-base percentage … Hit her first career home run as a pinch hitter vs. Texas Tech (Feb. 14) … In a doubleheader against Western Carolina (March 17), hit a game-winning, three-run double in game one and was 1-for-2 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI in the night cap … In front of several dozen members of her hometown at Virginia (April 18), recorded a game-winning RBI double … Tallied a three-run double against Virginia Tech in an ACC Semifinal game (May 9).
High School: Four year-letterwinner for coach John Smith … Senior year accolades include Central Virginia Player of the Year, Jefferson District Player of the Year and second-team all-state … A three-time all-region and all-district selection as well as Team Offensive MVP in 2007 and Newcomer of the Year in 2005 … Also lettered in volleyball for three seasons and basketball for one … Was a two-time all-district and one-time all-region volleyball pick as well as making the basketball all-district academic team … Won the home run derby competition at the 2006 USSA World Series in Columbus, Ind. … Member of the honor roll, Beta Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
