ATLANTA – Georgia Tech’s Clifton Remole was selected as the ACC Co-Player of the Week, as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference office Monday afternoon.
Remole batted .647 in four games for the Yellow Jackets going 11-for-17 at the plate, leading Georgia Tech to a 2-2 record with wins over No. 5 Miami and No. 13 Auburn. In Georgia Tech’s 20-5 win over Auburn, the junior outfielder/first baseman went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored. He followed that game with a 9-for-13 performance (.692 batting average) in Georgia Tech’s weekend series with the Miami Hurricanes. The Marietta, Ga., native went perfect from the plate (8-for-8) in games two and three against Miami collecting two doubles, a home run, four RBIs and two runs scored. Remole currently owns a six-game hitting streak in which he is hitting .556 with 10 RBIs.
He earned the honor with Clemson’s Kris Harris, who hit .500 on the week.
