O'Brien, Potvin Eliminated at D'Novo All-American Qualifying

Tulsa, Okla. – Georgia Tech players Dean O’Brien and Eliot Potvin both lost first-round qualifying matches Monday at the D’Novo/ITA All-American Championships at the University of Tulsa.

O’Brien, a junior from Benmore, South Africa, fell 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 to Sebastian Vidal of William & Mary. Potvin, a junior from Hampden, Maine, lost to Jaime Pulgar of NC State, 2-6, 7-5, 6-2.

Their teammate, junior Guillermo Gomez of Alicante, Spain, the nation’s No. 5-ranked player, is seeded in the main draw of the event which begins Thursday. Gomez and O’Brien also are playing as a doubles team in the qualifying draw.
