No. 9 Yellow Jackets Host Rematch Against Kentucky Saturday

ATLANTA – The ninth-ranked Georgia Tech Women’s Tennis team (4-0) will host a rematch with Kentucky (1-3) Saturday at the Bill Moore Tennis Center beginning at noon.

The Yellow Jackets defeated the Wildcats, 4-2, last Sunday in the second round of the ITA Kick-Off Weekend. With the victory, Tech earned a spot in the ITA National Team Indoor Championships field-of-16, which will be played Feb. 12-15 at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison, Wisc.

Sophomore Irina Falconi, ranked No. 1 in the ITA singles poll, was named ACC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday. She is 4-0 this season at both singles and doubles at the No. 1 positions.
