Four #ProJackets punched their tickets Sunday to Super Bowl 50. Denver defeated New England 20-18 in the AFC Championship Game, while Carolina routed Arizona 49-15 in the NFC Championship Game.
Georgia Tech is one of three FBS programs with four of more players on Super Bowl 50 rosters, joining Ohio State (6) and Tennessee (4). Tech’s four #ProJackets include active players Demaryius Thomas and Vance Walker, inactive player Lou Young, and Stephen Hill who is on injured reserve.
Demaryius Thomas will make his second career Super Bowl appearance (last: 2014, SB XLVIII), while Vance Walker will make his first trip to the Super Bowl. Lou Young, who has been inactive for the Panthers during the postseason, and Stephen Hill, who is on injured reserve for the Panthers, will also make their first trip to the Super Bowl.
The trio joins an elite group of #ProJackets who have played in a Super Bowl. Thomas is even more exclusive company as he will be only the fifth Yellow Jacket alum to play in multiple Super Bowls.
