THE FLATS – Georgia Tech continued its annual tradition of being well represented on the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America team, having nine Yellow Jackets honored.
The nine student-athletes marks the 10th-straight year that Georgia Tech has had nine or more recognitions on the CSCAA Scholar All-America team.
The Yellow Jackets receiving recognitions are:
Men:
Justin Alderson // Mechanical Engineering
Kyle Barone // Computer Science
Austin Daniel // Computer Science
Clark Wakeland // Aerospace Engineering
Women:
Anna Bradescu // Mathematics
McKenzie Campbell // Industrial Engineering
Camryn Hidalgo // Mechanical Engineering
Brooke Switzer // Biomedical Engineering
Carmen Woodruff (HM) // Chemistry
Barone leads the way with his third Scholar All-American selection, while Daniel and Wakeland garnered their second honor.
In order to be recognized, a student-athlete must achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher and have qualified for their respective NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Students earning honorable mention (HM) honors earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and achieved an NCAA B qualifying time or competed at an NCAA Regional or Zone Diving qualifier.
