“I thought we swung the bat pretty well tonight. We had a great atmosphere behind us with ESPN here; with the fans coming out and being vocal. Tonight was a great way to start the regional for us.”

“I think [Jen Yee] just missed on the at-bat before her homerun and popped one up a little bit. I’m glad she got another hack at it, especially with the top of Jacksonville State’s lineup coming up the next inning.”
On Jacksonville out-hitting Georgia Tech
“We knew that Jacksonville State had some good hitters and that they were going to hit the ball well. Even though they came away with more hits, we were glad to put a couple more runs on the board.”
On playing on ESPN
“I think being nationally televised helped the girls. They were more excited for tonight. The crowd was ready for the opportunity, and I think it’s great for the sport to get a little bit more coverage.”

“I came in with a couple of runners on, but knew that my defense would back me up as long as I came in throwing strikes. They stepped up big tonight and made some great plays behind me to help get us the win.”

“We have to fight and show resiliency. We’ve been through a lot this season, but I tell the girls you’re remembered by how you finish. Auburn’s a good team, and this is the time of the season when every team is fighting to stretch their season out. We have to play hard and see if we can make something happen.”
