PALO ALTO, Calif. – Stanford’s Theresa Logar broke top-ranked Kristi Miller at 4-3 in the third set and held on for a 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 victory over the Yellow Jacket All-American, ending Miller’s run in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Singles Championships Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, Miller ends her singles season with a stellar 41-7 record after becoming Tech’s first two-time All-American in singles play.
Later this afternoon, Miller will team with Lyndsay Shosho in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Doubles Championships, facing Northwestern’s 13th-ranked tandem of Cristelle Grier and Alexis Prousis at 4 p.m. PT.
