McDowell, Shelton Will Be Honored By Braves Friday Evening

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech rising junior Amanda McDowell will throw out the first pitch and women’s tennis head coach Bryan Shelton has been named honorary team captain for GT Night at Turner Field Friday evening when the Braves take on the San Francisco Giants at 7:35 pm.

Fans can enjoy a day at the Ted surrounded by Georgia Tech. Watch performances by the Georgia Tech Marching Band, Cheerleaders, Glee Club and Buzz during pre-game in the plaza area. McDowell will be honored for her NCAA Singles Championship along with other Georgia Tech athletes for their various accomplishments during the 2007-08 season.
