For the third straight year, Georgia Tech volleyball standout Kyleen Bell is one of six athletes named to the first team Verizon District III Academic Volleyball team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA).
Bell, a senior from Rocklin, Calif., carries an impressive 3.96 grade point average with a major in Management. She is the starting middle blocker for the Georgia Tech volleyball team, which currently owns a 18-7 record. A second-team all-ACC selection this season, Bell is second on the team in kills with 304 and 83 blocks and a .298 hitting percentage. She is now eligible for the Verizon Academic All-America team, of which she was a member of last year.
To be eligible for Verizon Academic all-America honors, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average.
