Complete List Of All-Americans
STARKVILLE, Miss. – Georgia Tech junior shortstop Kelsi Weseman was named a second-team Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American it was announced on Wednesday.
Weseman becomes just the eighth All-American in school history and is the only player from the ACC on any of the three All-American teams this season.
Weseman, the 2011 ACC Player of the Year, batted .424 (first in ACC, 31st in nation) with a .968 slugging percentage (first, second), .538 on-base percentage (first, 15th), 51 runs scored (first, 53rd), 67 hits (third), 65 RBI (first, 13th), 17 doubles (first, 38th), three triples (tied for fourth), 21 home runs (first, fourth), 153 total bases (first) and 14 hit by pitches (first).
Weseman currently ranks third in Georgia Tech’s single-season record books with 21 home runs, while her 65 RBI are good for fourth. Her career numbers of 42 home runs and 165 RBI rank fifth and fourth, respectively, in school history.
