The Tech men, who are 3-3 in dual meets and have been ranked as high as 19th in the Top 25, host a Cardinals team that jumped to No. 8 in the most recent CSCAA Top 25 poll. The Tech women (3-4), entertain a Louisville squad that is ranked 13th.
“This will be a great test for us and one that we’re looking forward to,” said head coach Courtney Shealy Hart. “Both of Louisville’s teams are ranked and they are a very good dual-meet team. They’re coming into the ACC next year so we’re excited about the chance to host them here in Atlanta.”
The Yellow Jackets picked up solids win over Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton their last time out in mid-December. The men won 181-62 and the women rolled to a 171-70 victory.
Junior Andrew Kosic helped pace the men to the FAU victory, winning both the 50 and 100 free and contributing to a win by the 400 medley relay. On the women’s side, divers Shannon Lumbra and Ashley Hardy each set school records in winning efforts, as Lumbra broke the school’s 1-meter mark with her score of 312.70 and Hardy snapped a five-year old record on the 3-meter board with her score of 338.45.
Following Saturday’s meet versus Louisville, the Jackets head to Emory on January 18 and then wrap up the regular season by hosting Darton College on February 1.
