THE FLATS – The Jackets won their match against Furman with a score of 7-0 – winning all of their singles and doubles matches.
Carlos Divar and Pablo Schelcher both led the way for the Jackets.
Divar defeated Clarke Wilson 6-1, 6-3 while Schelcher won his match, defeating James Roelofse 6-1, 6-2.
In doubles, Zummy Bauer and Joseph Gandolfo defeated Ivan Mitric and Henrik Atlevi with a final score of 6-3.
“We have to get a lot better, but we were much improved. As far as singles we came out strong in all of our matches. I feel like we got better from each of today’s matches,” said men’s tennis head coach Kenny Thorne.
The Jackets will be back in action at 11:00 a.m. on Feb. 1 when they go on the road to face the Auburn Tigers.
