 THE FLATS –With sophomore Breanna Roper hitting three-for-three and retaining her spot as the conference’s hits leader, Georgia Tech softball (16-10, 1-2 ACC) topped Mercer (10-16) 4-1 on Wednesday night.

Sophomore Cameron Stanford leads off the second inning with a home run over left field to bring the score to 2-0.

Junior Brooke Barfield came away with the win and four strikeouts.

Up next:
The Yellow Jackets host Virginia for the first Atlantic Coast Conference home series of the 2019 season. The Jackets open the series on Friday, March 15 at 4 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
