THE FLATS – For the fourth-consecutive year, Georgia Tech swimming and diving will support charitable causes in the Atlanta community by participating in the annual Swim Across America event at Lake Lanier Olympic Park on Saturday, Sept. 24.
The 10th annual Atlanta Open Water Swim was established in 2013 and donates funds to the Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Fans and supporters can donate to the cause by visiting the Georgia Tech Team Page HERE or by clicking the blue button at the top of the article. Anyone who would like to contribute to the cause can either select a member from the team roster or simply click, “Donate Now.” All funds raised by Tech go directly to local children’s hospitals.
Since 2013, SAA – Atlanta has donated over $2.6 million to their beneficiary. In 2021, the Yellow Jackets aided in that contribution by raising a total of $11,521 which brought their three-year total to more than $20,000.
