Jackets Head to NCAA East Regional Track & Field Championships

ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech men’s and women’s track and field teams will travel to Greensboro, N.C., for the NCAA East Region Track and Field Championships, May 26-27, at North Carolina A&T. The outdoor meet will serve as the qualifier for the NCAA Outdoor Championships, with the top five from each event making the national championship meet.

Competing on the men’s side will be freshman Juan Cave (high jump), freshman Mario Johnson (400m IH), senior Eric Massey (hammer throw), Jerome Miller (high jump), freshman Nigel Orr (long jump) and Andy Powlen (shot put).

On the women’s side, Brandy Depland (long, triple jump), Fatmata Fofanah (100m HH), sophomore Tenisha Griggs (100m HH), freshman Kimery Hern (discus), Ashlee Kidd (400m, 4x100m), Andriane Lapsley (100m, 200m, 100m HH, 4x100m), Elena Linn (3,000m-SC), Shantia Moss (100m HH, 4x100m), April Phillips (shot put), Mellany Stanislaus (triple jump) and Jacqua Williams (4x100m) will compete for the Yellow Jackets.
