Jackets Finish 8th and 15th in BSC Indoor Icebreaker

Final Results

Birmingham, Ala.- The Yellow Jackets performed well in their first competition of the season with a number of performance records on the day.

The Yellow Jackets finished 8th in the women’s rankings totaling 30 points and 15th in the men’s accumulating eight points.

Tulane finished in first in the women’s rankings reaching 147 points while Troy won in men’s with 73 total points.

Freshmen Taylor Grimes (8.65) and sophomore Ebony Forbes (8.70) both broke personal records in the 60-meter hurdles event in the prelims and in the finals.

Jeanine Williams also had a good day finishing first in the 60-meter hurdles event with a time of 8.25 – Grimes and Forbes finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Freshmen Reese Crawford and Jordynn Tyndall both had impressive days as well.

Crawford finished with a personal record time of 1:01.93 in the 400-meter dash.

Tyndall also finished with a personal record in the 800-meter dash finishing with a time of 2:20.67.

A strong showing in their first competition of the season the next Jackets competition will be at the BU Season Opener on Dec 1 in Boston, Mas.
