Wednesday’s Child Shoot in Photos

ATLANTA – Wednesday’s Child is a program featured during Fox 5’s (WAGA-TV) 6 o’clock newscast each week to try and find permanent homes for children in foster care.

As part of the program, they engage the child in a fun learning experience each Wednesday between 12 noon and 2 p.m.

On Wednesday, Fox 5 came to Alexander Memorial Coliseum to film a segment with a 12-year-old boy named Joseph. Joseph is a huge basketball fan and got an opportunity to hit the hardwood and shoot around with some of the Tech players.

Seniors Alade Aminu and D’Andre Bell and junior Zachery Peacock took time out of their busy spring exam week schedule to play some ball with Joseph and give him some pointers on form shooting, how to properly shoot a layup and free throw, ballhandling and defense.

The segment will air on Wednesday, May 27th during Fox 5’s 6 p.m. newscast. It will also air on Fox 5 Sunday morning, May 31st between 6:00 – 8:30am (approx. 6:30am). It will air for a third time Sunday night (5/31) during Fox 5’s 10pm broadcast (around 10:30pm) and of course you can view it anytime after May 27th at myfoxatlanta.com.
