Hewitt to Speak in Gainesville, Augusta

Georgia Tech fans around the state of Georgia can hear Tech basketball coach Paul Hewitt speak at Georgia Tech Club meetings on Wednesday, April 16 in Gainesville, Ga., and Monday, April 21 in Augusta, Ga.

The Gainesville club meeting is scheduled for Wednesday at the Chattahoochee Country Club (3000 Club Drive, Gainesville, Ga.), beginning with a reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by the program at 7 p.m. For reservations or more information, contact Sam Hulsey at 770.503.2030.

The Augusta club meeting is scheduled for next Monday at Julian Smith Barbecue Pit (87 Milledge Road, Augusta, Ga.) with a reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by the program at 7 p.m. The contact for reservations and information is David McCollum, 706.854.8906 or mc_david@bellsouth.com.

Other upcoming appearances for Coach Hewitt are scheduled for April 28 in Jacksonville, Fla., April 30 in Dalton, Ga., May 6 in Savannah and May 12 in Albany, Ga.

In addition, assistant basketball coach Willie Reese is scheduled to speak to the Macon Georgia Tech Club on Thursday, April 17. Tech women’s basketball coach Agnus Berenato will speak to the Northeast Tennessee Georgia Tech Club in Kingsport, Tenn., on Tuesday, April 22 and the Delaware Valley Club in Philadelphia, Pa., on April 24.

Tech football coach Chan Gailey will speak to the Georgia Tech clubs in Raleigh, N.C., on May 1, in Dallas, Texas on April 28 and Houston, Texas on April 29. He will begin speaking around the state of Georgia and neighboring areas in late May, with appearances scheduled as follows: May 19 in Chattanooga, Tenn.; May 20 in Birmingham, Ala.; May 22 in Griffin, Ga.; May 27 in LaGrange, Ga.; May 28 in Carrollton, Ga.; June 3 in Newnan, Ga.; June 4 in Columbus, Ga.; and June 5 in Rome, Ga.

Also scheduled to make appearances this spring are Director of Athletics Dave Braine, Director of Broadcasting and play-by-play voice Wes Durham, and assistant football coach Patrick Nix. The complete list of speaking engagements for athletics personnel is below.
