Hello, My Name Is...Robert Sampson

THE FLATS – Robert Sampson is getting ready to play his final collegiate basketball season at Georgia Tech after sitting out last season as a transfer.

Sampson came to Tech from East Carolina after playing in 96 games and making 52 starts in three seasons with the Pirates. He averaged 6.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 21.1 minutes per game. The Atlanta native is a left-handed player who shot 46.6 percent from the floor and 31.8 percent behind the arc and tallied 11 double-doubles. He finished his three years at ECU ranked fifth on the school’s all-time blocked shots list (97), and led the Pirates in scoring twice and rebounding 27 times. He made C-USA All-Academic team twice.

Sampson is wearing No. 13 at Tech after wearing No. 12 at ECU.
